Zach had a great birthday. Or at least one that’s as great as you can have when you go to work for your birthday and come home to a kitchen full of (surprisingly quiet) kids (the whole neighborhood full) who yell surprise at you and have a balloon drop release on your head.
After our festivities, the kids and I (Alex and Violet) found a bug on our back sliding glass door. I was so excited to show them this bug and they were so excited with me. Originally, I thought it was a praying mantis since our neighbor recently bred them (one of those caterpillar breeding to a butterfly projects – we did that one). I had thought how inspirational and mystical it was that it as a praying mantis. The good luck to show up at our house on Zach’s birthday would only mean good things to come for him.
So what does it mean when it’s a … leaf bug?!?!?!?
