For Now, I'll Post With My Pants On!

It’s nice to be able to blog. You can do it whenever you have free time. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your PJ’s, if your hair is done, teeth brushed. You can do it at home, or if you’re brave enough, at work; it can be done in every season we have with a rumbling tummy or with your meal accessorizing your computer. In the wee hours of the night or the morning (only with my coffee please), you can blog whenever, wherever…it’s nice to be able to blog.

When I started blogging, September 5, 2008 was my first official post, I thought about this. I also thought about being able to release thoughts and feelings that maybe I wouldn’t otherwise; I thought about being able to reach that one person (or better yet, more than one) whose life I would touch or help in some way…even if just a smile. I thought about the commitment it takes to continue to blog, the research and time it takes to ensure I’m reaching my ‘target audience’, collecting my stats, designing my site. However, I did forget something liken to walking out of your house without your pants (something else you don’t need in order to blog)….

I forgot to even tell you who I am.

Yep, like a long-time, comfortable friend, the kind that doesn’t make you feel the need to fill some imaginary uncomfortable silence, I figured you knew me. What was I thinking… of course you don’t. At least only one of you out there does, so it’s time for you to know something more about me, my family, how I got here.

So, starting on Friday, November 7th, I am going to start filling in the blanks. I hope that when I add these posts, we can get to know each other. I hope that you will talk with me about memories that these posts spark in your lives; I hope we can get to know each other. Then, in time, we can sit in comfortable silence…but with our pants on.
